Recently we photographed another wonderful milestone for a couple that I’ve grown to know over the years. It all started about five years ago when I met Joel & Nicole about photographing their wedding. In addition to their latest daughter, we’ve photographed multiple family sessions, their other daughters newborn session, their wedding and engagement photos. I can’t begin to express my gratitude and how wonderful it’s been to get to know. You have two amazing children and I can’t wait to photograph their journey over the years. Congratulations again Joel & Nicole, what a beautiful daughter and addition to your family!

This summer we photographed Jordan & Jessica’s wedding at the stunning Liuna Gardens in Stoneycreek. They are truly some of the nicest people in the world and we couldn’t have been happier capturing their wedding. The day started off photographing a few laid back portraits of Jordan getting ready with his suit, details & bow tie. We then headed over to Jessica’s and had a wonderful time photographing her and meeting all of the family. The wedding ceremony took place at St. Francis Xavier in Stoneycreek. We quickly headed over to Liuna Gardens to photograph the wedding party and wedding photos of the couple. Liuna is the type of place that you could spend hours at and not run out of areas or ideas at.

The reception was held in the grand ballroom at Liuna Gardens. Beautifully decorated for their wedding.
You NEED to see their beach engagement session in Hamilton. We dug our feet into the sand, went to Hutches for ice cream & played mini putt 🙂

We all headed out for maternity photographs in Port Dover on a beautiful summer day to photograph a few family portraits with Joel, Nicole & their daughter and pup. I’d consider myself extremely fortunate to have met Joel & Nicole several years ago. They’ve opened their hearts and home to me over the years and I can say that they’ve become friends. I’m completely honored to have been there to photograph in what seems to be their biggest milestones together. Well baby number two is certainly a milestone I wasn’t going to miss.
This cheeky smile makes me laugh. Their daughter wasn’t having anything to do with family photos that day but we managed to capture her adventurous & free spirited personality in some of these images. I think that’s what drives me to capture real moments of families living life and having fun. Family sessions are anything but planned. We might have a general idea of what we want the photos to look like but in reality it’s really up to the kids. My approach is to keep them having fun, learning and exploring. Let’s capture them as they are and not the standard sit and smile back at the camera look.
There’s that gorgeous smile again!!! We walked along the pier, chased the seagulls and played hide and seek. After we photographed some family portraits we sent their daughter off with Gram & Gramps.
We’ve also had the pleasure of photographing several of their friends including this pre wedding photoshoot of Rob & Alanna.
